NUMBER DUEL

Description:

Step I - the group is divided into two equal halves (Team A and Team B) and placed at opposite ends of the room.

Step II - Each participant of Team A and Team B is get a number, which is repeated in each Team. In other words, there are two numbers 1, two numbers 2, two numbers 3 ...

Step III - The adult goes to the center of the room with a ball, or other object that can be collected by the participants.

Step IV - It is explained to the children that they will have to memorize their number, because it will be called a number randomly. At that moment, the two participants who have the number called by the adult, will have to dispute the conquest of the object that is in the hand of the adult.

Step V - The results of the two teams are being counted and used to fuel competitiveness. It is possible to change the numbers of the elements of the two teams, to facilitate the balance between them.

Discussion / Discussion:

- How was keeping your attention focused on the number you memorized? Do you consider that there are participants faster than others, or is it a matter of attention to the call of the number? How did you feel when an element of your Team got distracted and did not get a point? How felt the elements feel that they never earned any point for their team? How did the elements that earned points for their Team feel when lost in the end?

Materials:

- Small papers with numbers written in pairs; A ball or other childlike object, soft.
